Cheltzie Lee (born 21 April 1993 in Campbelltown, New South Wales) is an Australian figure skater. She is the 2010 Australian national champion and 2007-2008 junior national champion. Lee placed 23rd at the 2008 World Championships. At the 2009 Nebelhorn Trophy, Lee qualified an alternate berth for Australia for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Following the withdrawal of Israeli skater Tamar Katz, Lee was named to the Australian Olympic team.[1] At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, she qualified 18th in the short program, scoring 52.16 (a personal best), and finished in 20th place overall. She placed 17th at the 2010 World Championships. It was confirmed that Lee will continue to skate, but she has decided to take a year off to concentrate on her university studies and to 'live a little'. Lee returned to competition in June 2012 winning the prestigious Hollins Trophy at her home rink of Canterbury and the 2012 WinterSun in Boondall, Queensland. Lee's father is Chinese and was born in Bangladesh[2] and her mother was born and raised in Louisiana and is African American.[3] Lee also did gymnastics from age six to twelve. Source: Wikipedia
