Arthell Neville married Taku Hirano in 2001.
Taku Hirano, one of the top percussionists on the touring and recording circuit, has been referred to by Grammy Award-winning rock legend Mick Fleetwood as the "Secret Weapon" for good reason. Trained in Classical percussion as well as traditional Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, West African, Middle Eastern, Japanese, and Indian styles and instruments, his client list is made up of luminaries spanning practically every genre.
Taku has toured the world with Fleetwood Mac, Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, Stevie Nicks, Lionel Richie, Isaac Hayes, Lindsey Buckingham, Academy Award-winning composer A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), Italian popstar Giorgia, and Japanese pop superstar Utada Hikaru.
Arthel Neville (born October 20, 1962, in New Orleans, Louisiana, age 51 years), is an American journalist and television personality.
Arthel is the daughter of Art Neville, founder of the New Orleans music groups The Meters and The Neville Brothers. On August 1, 2008, Neville became the lead anchor for the Fox 5 Morning News, a four-hour weekday newscast on KSWB-TV in San Diego.[4] Within a year, she made an impact on the San Diego community as evidenced by her nomination by San Diego Magazine for their 2009 Woman of the Year Award.
In addition to her anchoring duties for Fox and KSWB-TV, Neville has been a recurring guest on HLN Showbiz Tonight. In May 2009, Neville's show “Conversations with Arthel Neville,” a one-on-one celebrity interview show produced through her company, began airing on My Channel on Sky TV (British Sky Broadcasting), Fox's sister network in the United Kingdom to 9 million homes in England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, and the Channel Islands, as well as parts of France, Spain, and Italy.
In June 2010, Neville returned to Fox News Channel as a news anchor on America's Newsroom, America's News Headquarters, and The Strategy Room, a contributor on The O’Reilly Factor, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld, Fox & Friends, and Fox & Friends First, and fill-in anchor on America Live with Megyn Kelly.[6] She also served as a correspondent from New Orleans for the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina for Studio B with Shepard Smith and Fox Report.[7]
